Harumichi HIDA
Born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1883 (Meiji 16), Harumichi Hida overcame early frailty to pioneer the Kawai (Hida) style of strengthening and health training. By blending Western physical methods with Japanese martial arts and Tanden development, he left a lasting impact across diverse fields until his passing in 1956 (Showa 31).
Ryoun Sasaki
Born in Tokyo in 1947 (Showa 22), Ryoun Sasaki immersed himself in martial arts, Zen meditation, and yoga from youth. Upon discovering the Hida Style, he trained under a direct disciple of Harumichi Hida and currently directs the Tanden Research Institute. He continues to educate and guide others nationwide on health and spiritual enhancement through these profound techniques.
