This documentary meticulously traces the footsteps of Aikido's founder, Morihei Ueshiba, utilizing an extensive collection of materials, films, and photographs to delve into the origins and teachings of Aikido.
The film features the founder visiting dojos of his direct disciples across the nation, offering instruction, demonstrations, and lectures. It showcases training scenes in Tanabe, Shirataki, and Shingu, as well as the annual demonstration at Iwama by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba. Additionally, it covers the spread and development of Aikido in France, including performances by Masaharu Abe Sensei in Marseille, Mutsuro Nakazono Sensei in Valence and Marseille, and Masamichi Noro Sensei on the Frejus beach. The documentary also includes footage from the first trip to France in 1975, featuring demonstrations by Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba in Monaco.

Alain Guerrier
Born in 1959, Alain Guerrier began practicing Aikido in Marseille under Abe Sensei. He continued his training with Nakazono Sensei and Tamura Sensei. In April 1969, he traveled to Japan to meet the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, but his dream was unfulfilled as the founder was critically ill. Guerrier then stayed in Japan for four years, teaching French at the Athénée Français and the Institut Franco-Japonais while practicing at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo.
