Nakamura Taizaburo
- Born in 1912
- Received special instruction in Kendo and Jukendo at the Army Toyama School in 1939
- Awarded a certificate of teacher aptitude
- Post-war, founded the All Japan Batto-do Federation to preserve Toyama-ryu and Nakamura-ryu Batto-do traditions
- In 1999, renamed the International Iai Batto-do Federation to the International Batto-do Federation
- Even at age 90 (in 2001), actively promotes Batto-do
