"All is within Zen: The essence of Ritsuzen revealed for the first time by Michio Shimada, who achieved the martial state of Zen after decades of training in Taiki-ken, founded by the martial arts saint Kenichi Sawai. Since childhood, Shimada studied judo and karate, later becoming a disciple of Kenichi Sawai. He underwent rigorous training at the legendary Jingū no Mori. In 1985, under Kenichi Sawai's directive, he established the Taiki-ken Kikōkai dojo in Koganei, Tokyo, to widely teach Taiki-ken. After his master's passing, despite temporarily closing the dojo, Shimada resumed teaching and marked the 20th anniversary of the Koganei dojo in January 2005, opening a new dojo in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He focuses on spreading Kenichi Sawai's Taiki-ken and mentoring future generations."
