In 1961 (Showa 36), he entered the Nihonden Karatedo Shunfukan Dojo, which was opened by Professor Genjuro Takano, who was active as an assistant professor at the Dojo and Daidokan, which was presided over by Motobu Choki and Motobu Choki.
