Hideyuki Ashihara Memorial: The Legendary Ashihara Karate (Preowned)

This is a memorial issue for the previous master, released as a supplement to the monthly Full Contact KARATE magazine. It is a compilation of re-collections from Fukushodo publications such as the monthly Karate-Do magazine.

Chapter 1 introduces many of the master's flowing sabaki along with the words he left behind. Chapter 2, Part 1, tells the story behind the creation of sabaki, while Parts 2 to 4 have Director Hidenori himself explain sabaki variations.Part 5 again uses a series of photographs of the previous master to introduce sabaki divided into short, middle, and long distances. Part 6 features Director Hidenori talking about his father and the future of the Ashihara Kaikan, as well as an interview with Toshiyuki Muneda, the model for the Shikoku judo king Kumoi Daigo who appears in "Karate Baka Ichidai," about episodes with the previous master. Chapter 3 contains the entire contents of "Legendary Karate" released in 1995.
