On October 4, 2018, Hatsumi Masaaki Bujinkan Soke went to the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. A huge number of Japanese swords owned by themselves. It is to show the part of the collection. Although it is a Japanese sword traded as an art piece for ornament, it is a practical weapon and has both precision and toughness. Hatsumi soke spoke politely to the gathering journalists about the origin and usage of each sword. The original value of a Japanese sword which can be told because he is a soldier. This is also Kuden(oral instruction) for pupils of all over the world from Hatsumi Soke.
Masaaki Hatsumi Born in Chiba prefecture in 1931. I have watched several of Hatsumi Sensei's videos. This one is different as it is simply a demonstration of some swords from his collection of over 400 (which is a baffling number). Yet, it is special like Sensei's other videos, as he is obviously having loads of fun. Of course I will never have that many unique weapons, neither do I desire, but it is always interesting to learn, what exactly is the energy behind that, which we call a "nihonto"?
