Being on your opponent's back is well regarded as one of the best positions to be in BJJ or MMA. Being on the back, it's very difficult for your opponent defend from the inevitable rear naked choke, or other choke variation.
There are of course, many things that can go wrong in the process of getting to the back. One common situations is when, after securing one hook, your opponent actively prevents you from getting the second hook in. What's a guy to do?
There are many options from this position, but today let's take a look at an option taught by Black Label Martial Arts owner and instructor, Malachy Friedman.
Malachy Friedman has six instructional videos covering a wide range of topics. Available on DVD or On Demand. Check them all out here!
