Jun Osano
Born in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Jun Osano embarked on his martial arts journey from a young age. He studied Chinese martial arts, various jujutsu styles, and Yagyu Shingan-ryu military arts under Shihan Takio Nishigori in Kanagawa Prefecture. After extensive training across Japan, he became the 12th generation successor of Asayama Ichiden-ryu jujutsu under Master Sato Tai of Miyagi Prefecture. He also inherited Geishu Honden Shibukawa Ichiryu jujutsu from Master Tanida Asao Tokinobu of Hiroshima Prefecture as the 13th generation successor. Furthermore, he obtained mastery in Rikishin-ryu swordsmanship and stick fighting from Master Miwa Yasuyuki Yoshimitsu of Shizuoka Prefecture, and in Anazawa-ryu naginatajutsu from Master Igarashi Kinu of Saitama Prefecture. He received training in Yagyu Shingan-ryu from Master Takeda Guntora and Master Toyama Kunio of Miyagi Prefecture, earning licenses in these disciplines. Currently, Jun Osano leads the Japan Comprehensive Martial Arts Research Institute and the Kobudo Instructor Suigetsu Juku, where he continues to teach and research traditional martial arts.
