  • Takagi Koji
    • Born in Tokyo in 1954. Seventh-degree instructor of Taiqi Shisei Kenpo. Director of the Taiqi Kenpo Ishinjuku. During his tenure as captain of the Hosei University Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate Club, he traveled alone to the Netherlands, then considered the strongest in the world of karate, and fought throughout Europe as a member of the Dutch National Team. Through Jan Karenbach, who was recognized by Mas Oyama, the late director of Kyokushin Kai, as "the strongest foreigner in Kyokushin," he learned of Kenshi Sawai, the founder of Taiqi Kenpo. Upon returning to Japan, he visited Sawai in the forest of the shrine and became his disciple. After experiencing numerous matches with other schools, in February 1983, he became the top student of the second golden age of Taiqi Kenpo. For ten years of practice in that shrine, whenever Sawai moved, he always played his role as a partner, directly observing and learning his movements in front of him and feeling them.
