Instructor: Kazumi Nemoto (Japan Old Praying Mantis Boxing Research Association)
Since 1975, Nemoto has studied Shaolin Boxing alongside Tai Chi. In 1981, inspired by exchanges with Master Wang Juyong, he began visiting Shanghai to learn Praying Mantis Boxing and Long Fist. In 1988, he trained under Master Xu Qicheng in Shenyang, and in 1989, he studied Taiji Praying Mantis Boxing from Master Wang Yuanliang, a disciple of Grandmaster Wang Yushan, officially becoming a disciple in 1993. After his master’s passing in 2002, Nemoto has continued researching Old Praying Mantis Boxing in Haiyang and Xixia while deepening ties with fellow disciples in Qingdao and Laiyang. Since 1990, he has led the Japan Old Praying Mantis Boxing Research Association, promoting and teaching the art in Japan.
