Martial arts in ancient times were not techniques for fighting, but were meant to soften the hearts of opponents, connecting the spiritual and the material. We will decipher the mysteries of Musubi in the Kojiki and recreate the original form of the martial arts of Musubi, Aikido, Taijiquan, and Bagua Quan. This book not only introduces the true nature of Aikido, Tai Chi, and Bagua Quan, but also provides a theory of the Kojiki from the perspective of the relationship between martial arts and the world of gods in the Kojiki.

About the author:

Born in 1960. Since his teens, he has practiced Bagua Quan, Yang Family Tai Chi, Aikido, Daito-ryu, Shinkage-ryu, and Tachishin-ryu. He also studied Shinto at Chuo University and Kokugakuin University Graduate School (majoring in the history of thought). Currently, in addition to his writing, he teaches Tai Chi, Bagua Quan, and Aiki no Jutsu.
