Yamakage Shinto Sword Purification and Techniques Directly Passed Down from Morihei Ueshiba

Yamakage Shinto Sword Purification and Techniques Directly Passed Down from Morihei Ueshiba

Masato Sasaki, an Aikido headquarters instructor and Yamakage Shinto priest, shares his insights in this instructional video. Inspired by the teachings of his mentor, Nakamura Tenpu, and influenced by his encounters with Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido, and Yamakage Kisho, the reviver of Yamakage Shinto, Sasaki seamlessly blends the paths of Aiki and Shinto into a cohesive practice.

This video introduces the fundamental techniques and theories of "Jinmu Ichido," a practice rooted in ancient Japanese culture. It emphasizes that "Aikido is a martial expression of Shinto," through the teachings and demonstrations by Masato Sasaki.
