Instructors and Performers ◎ Yagi Akihito Chairman of Yagi Dojo, Headquarters of the International Meibukan Goju-ryu Karate Federation. Born in 1977 in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, Yagi Akihito is the grandson of Yagi Meitoku, the esteemed founder of International Myobukan and a custodian of Okinawa's cultural heritage in Karate and Kobudo. With a commitment to preserving and promoting traditional martial arts globally, Yagi Akihito oversees approximately 100 branches across 30 countries. His dedication extends beyond teaching, encompassing cultural advocacy and international collaboration in martial arts education. Notably, his involvement in the film "Kuro-Obi" brought him recognition, further amplifying his role in the dissemination of Okinawan martial arts.
