They are very powerful fighting techniques, but they require different body mechanics and a relaxed strength that you don't find in the "external" martial arts. Sifu Gullette has won dozens of forms competitions with Hsing-l Chuan forms, including a gold medal in an international tournament in Chicago in 2004. His students have also won many tournaments.
