Renato Magno is a Machado black belt

I trained with Renato at J.J. Machado's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio years ago before he opened his own school. He is a first cousin of the Machado brothers so he trained with the Machados for years. He also is a black belt in Judo having started in Judo first before Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a kid. He trained with Olympic level Judo instructors in Brazil.
A friend of mine took many private lessons with Renato and became very knowledgeable and good at BJJ. My friend taught me. Another friend trained a lot with Renato and became very good in Jui-Jitsu.
Renato learned from all of the Machado brothers who each have their own strong points in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Also Renato trained a lot with the Gracies and especially Renzo Gracie.
