About the Instructor:

Yoshinori Nishi is an MMA pioneer in Japan who was mentored by two of Japan's greatest martial arts icons. His first teacher was legendary Judoka Masahiko Kimura. His 2nd teacher was Azuma Takashi, the founder of the hybrid martial art Kudo. Nishi competed frequently in Karate, Judo and MMA events in the 1980's and won the Hokutoki Open Weight Cup twice (1984 and 1985).

Besides competing, His greatest accomplishment was in founding the Wajyutsu Keisyukai Academy, one of Japanese MMA's most prestigious gyms, where he would mentor such great fighters as Roxanne Modaferri, Akira Shoji, Dong Hyun Kim, Yushin Okami, Daiju Takase, and Kazunari Murakami among others.
