Uechi Ryu Karate Vol 1 Overview DVD by Ihor Rymaruk

Master Rymaruk is a Vietnam combat veteran who has been involved with the martial arts since 1963. He has studied on Okinawa with Master Uechi and opened his dojo in 1974.

In this instructional DVD, Master Rymaruk explains Uechi-Ryu foundations while demonstrating the subtleties of the movements that can only be seen through the observation of motion. Master Rymaruk also teaches his revolutionary new technique, Defending to the Four Directions.

This exercise will challenge even the most advanced student.

This DVD is a supplement to the book Karate: A Masters's Secrets of Uechi-Ryu by Master Ihor Rymaruk, and is not meant to replace the volume of detailed information found in the book.

About the Author:

Ihor Rymaruk is a 9th-degree black belt master in Uechi-Ryu Karate, director and chief instructor of the Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate School in Amsterdam, New York (since 1974). Began training in 1963, studied directly in Okinawa under Grand Master Kanei Uechi (1982), Vietnam veteran, author of "Karate: A Master's Secrets of Uechi-Ryu", inventor of the "Iron Arm" conditioning tool, and founder of the United States Uechi-Ryu Karate Association.
