Uechi Ryu Karate Do Book by Yukinobu Shimabukuro
From Sansen to Sanjuroku, all eight Uechi-ryu kata are illustrated with easy-to-understand photographs and captions in both Japanese and English. The author, Shimabukuro Yukinobu, lives in France and is the representative of the European branch of the Uechi-ryu Karate-do Association. He is also a key figure in the spread of Uechi-ryu in Europe. A French version of the kata has already been published in France, but due to requests from various quarters, this book will now be published in both Japanese and English.
There is also a brief explanation of the history of Uechi-ryu, making this a book that is useful not only as an introduction to Uechi-ryu, but also as a reference for advanced practitioners of traditional Okinawan karate.
