  • In 1985, under Kenichi Sawai's guidance, Shimada established the Taiki Ken Kikoukai dojo in Koganei, Tokyo, to widely teach Taiki Ken to the public.
  • After his mentor's passing, Shimada temporarily closed the dojo but later reopened it to continue teaching and preserving Taiki Ken.
  • In January 2005, Shimada commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Koganei dojo's founding by opening a new dojo in Shinjuku, Tokyo, focusing on spreading Kenichi Sawai's legacy of Taiki Ken and mentoring future generations.
