About the Author:
Exercise Scientist; Creator of the "Yuru" Method. Graduated from the University of Tokyo and completed his graduate studies at the university's Graduate School of Education. Currently serves as the Director of the Institute of Comprehensive Exercise Science. During his time at the University of Tokyo Graduate School, he founded the field of "Exercise Science"—a discipline that integrates Western scientific principles with Eastern philosophy. While coaching Olympic athletes, artists, and other high-level professionals, he developed the "Yuru Exercises," "Yuru Breathing Method," and "Yuru Walking" techniques—systems designed to enhance physical function, body awareness, and brain function for a wide range of people, regardless of age or gender. His methods enjoy widespread support from a diverse audience, ranging from elite athletes to the elderly and those who typically dislike physical exercise. In addition to conducting joint research with universities, hospitals, and corporations, he also serves as the Director of Exercise Therapy for health promotion initiatives within government agencies.
