About Suganuma Morito:
- Born in Fukushima Prefecture in 1942
- Initially pursued pole vaulting and studied at Juntendo University before joining Asia University
- Entered the Aikikai Headquarters Dojo after university and became an apprentice
- Dispatched as an Aikido instructor to Kyushu in 1970, where he opened Aikido Shohei Juku in Hakata in 1977
- Dedicated to popularizing Aikido in Kyushu and beyond, with over 100 branches and 3,000 students globally
