The Sacrificial Sword, Shurikenjutsu

Based on the principles of swordsmanship, the technique and philosophy of Kenryu Shurikenjutsu involve throwing bo shuriken without rotation using a direct striking method. Unlike the snap motion used in pitching, practitioners sink their bodies in accordance with their axis, pulling down their arms with their entire body to launch the shuriken. This striking method shares principles similar to swordsmanship and iaido.

Mastering shurikenjutsu allows practitioners to draw out the speed and sharpness of a sword from anything around them, achieving a state of "no sword chosen" in its literal sense. Confronting oneself, they discover the edge of the sword in the slightest movement of a fingertip. This is the path of Shurikenjutsu.
