Keith E. Kenyon M.D. graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1955. He spent a year in the United States Public Health Service, first at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and afterwards in the Indian Service in Arizona.

Upon leaving the Indian Service he entered private practice in general medicine.

When the U.S. resumed relations with Red China, being an open-minded individual he studied intensively the results being obtained by acupuncture.

When Dr. Kenyon was convinced many of the benefits were genuine he undertook formal study of acupuncture at the Acupuncture Research Institute College of Acupuncture in Los Angeles.
