Instruction and Supervision: Ichiro Iida was born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1945 and holds the rank of seventh dan in Aikido. He commenced his training at the Aikido Headquarters Dojo in 1963 and later founded the Aikido Club at Nihon University College of Art. In addition to Aikido, he has studied Kendo, Tai Chi, and Boxing, which have influenced his technical agility even into his mid-70s. Currently overseeing the Seijo Aikido Club, he is renowned for his expertise, attracting practitioners from various dojos seeking his teachings. Beyond Aikido, he is actively involved in historical research and has been recognized with accolades such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Merit Award and the Setagaya Ward Sports Merit Award.
