About the Author:

Born in 1965 as the grandson of Hironori Otsuka (first generation), the founder of Wado-ryu Karate, one of the four major schools of karate. He studied iaido as a child, wrestling and judo in high school, and started karate seriously in college. After studying abroad in the United States, he moved to France. He is based in Europe and has been teaching in various countries for 10 years. In 2015, he inherited the third generation headship of Wado-ryu Karate-do. He is a member of the Japan Kobudo Promotion Association and Japan Kobudo Association.
