Mas Oyama Karate School Book & DVD Box Set (Preowned)
Mas Oyama Karate School was a karate correspondence education school founded by Mas Oyama and Ikki Kajiwara in 1972 and ran until 1988.
Established as part of Mas Oyama's efforts to popularize Kyokushin Karate, the school was inspired by the success of the serialized manga Karate Baka Ichidai in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The school’s administrative office and practical training dojo were located within Kajiwara Productions.
Mas Oyama served as the headmaster.
Hisao Maki, the younger brother of Ikki Kajiwara, was the technical director.
The instructional materials featured demonstrations by prominent karate masters who later went on to establish their own dojos and styles.
This is a 2004 reproduction including all 7 of the instructional texts, a Mas Oyama sticker sheet, and an accompanying DVD.
