Alain FORMAGGIO (France) created FFTS in 1993 to promote professional self-defense to police forces and security agents. From this moment on, he combined the basic techniques of Krav Maga, dodges and « police » take down to develop the pro FFTS self-defense method. In 2006, Alain Formaggio was nominated technical director of World Krav Maga Federation by its President Alessandro DEL PIA (Italy). Alain modified the technique progressions of both WKMF and FFTS federations to unite them. In 2008, Alain asked Jean-Michel LEHRO (Belgium), Europe technical director of WKMF, to create operational techniques for military use from WKMF Krav Maga techniques. The two men founded COS: Close-Combat Operational System, a mix of Krav Maga and pro Self for dodges, parry, riposts and Close-Combat for military use.
In this film, you will find about 50 attacks dealing with Krav Maga (individual Self-Defenze), Close-Combat (military use) and professional Self-Defenze (police use) – which means about 140 defense techniques presented with the same « body forms » in dodges, parry, riposts, but with different goals depending on whether it is an individual attack or an attack during police or military work.
