Embark on a new type of training rooted in the ancient martial art of Daito-ryu Aikijujutsu, focusing on cultivating lean, supple movements devoid of unnecessary tension and consciousness. This instructional video, led by Akiyama Eishun of Keisui-kai, delves into techniques designed to enhance flexibility and fluidity through specialized exercises.

1. Relaxing the Body:

  • Techniques to loosen arms, chest, and back for enhanced freedom of movement.
  • Ball exercise (one-handed rotation, two-handed rotation)
  • Wave exercise (front and back waves, up and down waves, breathing opening and closing)

2. Constructing the Axis:

  • Developing central force, energy, and awareness.
  • Half-body switching
  • Turning

3. Half-Body Exercise:

  • Strengthening the three axes to eliminate instability and enhance awareness.
  • Vertical movements (mud raising, half-body)
  • Horizontal movements (Chidori)

4. Turning Exercise:

  • Enhancing flexibility and flow through axis strengthening.
