About Gokor Chivichyan
Born in Armenia, Gokor Chivichyan began training in grappling arts at the age of five. He holds the rank of 9th Dan in Judo, 6th Dan in Sambo, and 6th Dan in Jujutsu. After immigrating to the United States in 1981, Gokor co-founded the Hayastan MMA Academy with Gene LeBell, where he has trained world-class judoka, submission grapplers, and mixed martial arts champions since 1991.
